Description
The City of Yonkers and Yonkers Public Schools are soliciting a lump-sum bid for complete wood-floor restoration at four schools: Khalil Gibran School, Westchester Hills School 29, William Boyce Thompson School, and Saunders Trades & Technical High School. The work includes field verification, protection of adjacent surfaces and equipment, dust-controlled sanding to bare wood, cleaning, application of compatible sealer and water-based athletic-floor finish, and painting of specified basketball and volleyball courts, circles, borders, lettering, logos, and other graphics in designated colors. The Saunders project also includes sanding and finishing an existing 3,788-square-foot wood stage; staining is excluded. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, temporary protection, cleanup, and incidentals; maintain required environmental and curing conditions; submit product and compatibility data, safety data sheets, color samples, and court-layout drawings before work begins; and provide closeout product records, maintenance instructions, cure times, and return-to-service requirements. Prevailing-wage requirements apply. The bid package requires a notarized bid affidavit and vendor questionnaire, bid schedules, contract signature pages, specified schedules, applicable M/WBE certification, and a New York State public-work contractor registration certificate.
