Description
The City of Portland, Maine, is soliciting proposals for Construction Manager at Risk services for renovations and repairs at Riverton Pool in the Riverton Community Center at Talbot Elementary School. The selected construction manager will provide pre-construction services to define the remaining scope, prepare cost estimates and schedules, and establish the basis for a Guaranteed Maximum Price agreement. Following successful completion of the pre-construction phase, the City expects to enter into a Construction Manager at Risk contract for construction management, subcontractor bidding, on-site management, and project closeout. The remaining work includes replacement of aquatics equipment, including the pool filtration system, perimeter gutters, ladders, steps, ADA lift, and starting platforms; replacement of the pool deck slab and underlying floor drainage system; structural design and pool-deck-floor reconfiguration above the lower-level equipment room; pool electrical grounding; general electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work; doors and frames; painting; and finishes. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is mandatory, and only firms represented at the meeting may submit proposals.
