Description
The Westbrook School Department is applying for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund 2 (ESSERF 2) grant funds to address the impacts of COVID-19. The district plans to use the funds for a variety of purposes including hiring additional instructional staff, intervention specialists, and support staff; purchasing educational technology and software; providing mental health services; implementing summer learning and after-school programs; making facility improvements such as HVAC upgrades, classroom space modifications, and safety enhancements; and covering costs for substitutes, professional development, and staff wellness. The total allocation is $3,401,553.76, and funds must be obligated by September 30, 2023.
