Description
The Greater Portland Transit District is soliciting bids for uniforms and related apparel for bus operators, mechanics, customer service staff, and dispatchers. The requested items include shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, vests, trousers, shorts, jeans, hats, gloves, and other workwear, with specified colors, materials, sizes, quality standards, and referenced equivalent brands or models. Many items require Metro logo embroidery, and separate pricing is requested for additional embroidery and an Amalgamated Transit Union patch. Bidders must price every listed item, provide manufacturer and style information, delivery times, ordering methods, and any exceptions to the specifications. Pricing must include delivery, packaging, setup, and embroidery where specified. Orders will be placed throughout the year, and the successful vendor must support sizing events, package each employee's order together, deliver orders, and provide samples if requested before award. The proposed contract term is three years, with two additional one-year extension options.
