Description
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified firms to provide landscape maintenance at four I-20 interchanges in Douglas County, Georgia. The contractor must furnish all materials, labor, and equipment and comply with the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Standard Specifications. Maintenance boundaries extend from each exit or on-ramp to the interstate; all debris removal, hauling, and disposal costs must be included. Mulch must be included in pricing and applied three times annually, while fertilization and chemical treatment apply to improved, sodded areas. The contractor may determine whether mechanical mowing or hand trimming is appropriate based on site conditions and safety. The contract has a one-year base term with three additional one-year renewal options. Addendum 1 changes the bid opening deadline to September 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time and requires bidders to acknowledge the addendum by signing and including a copy with the submitted bid. The addendum also establishes liquidated damages for specified performance failures.
