Description
The Northwest Florida Water Management District is soliciting bids for hand planting approximately 120,395 container-grown longleaf pine tubelings and 300,000 wiregrass plugs across approximately 481 acres in Escambia, Jackson, and Washington counties, Florida. The work includes planting at specified stocking rates and spacings, transporting planting materials from refrigerated storage to designated sites, supplying reflective tarps, protecting and properly handling all tubelings and plugs, and replanting areas that do not meet District requirements. The District will supply the tubelings and wiregrass plugs. Bidders must submit a total lump-sum price based on per-plug or per-tubeling pricing, complete the required bid forms, and provide relevant experience, subcontractor information, similar-project history, references, and applicable business-certification documentation. A 10% performance bond or qualifying cashier's check is required after award. The anticipated work start is on or after January 5, 2027, subject to material deliveries, site preparation, and weather conditions.
