The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation seeks a contractor to treat approximately 1.5 acres of invasive Phragmites australis around Green Lake, the beach parking lots, and the associated boardwalk beach access path at Green Lakes State Park. Treatment may use backpack sprayers, boom sprayers, or an approved equivalent, with herbicides registered for wetland use; preferred products are glyphosate formulations such as Accord, Accord Concentrate, or Rodeo. Parks staff will cut the phragmites before treatment. All applicators must be appropriately licensed through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and comply with herbicide labels and state and federal law. The contractor must coordinate public notices and any temporary closures, use required personal protective equipment and environmental mitigation measures, clean equipment to prevent the spread of invasive species, and report treatments to the agency and the State of New York as required. The response must be completed on the provided RFQ document. If the quote is $15,000 or more, five additional certifications included in the RFQ are required.
