Description
Canyons School District is soliciting competitive proposals for districtwide weed control services across 50 properties, including elementary, middle, and high schools; specialty schools; offices; a warehouse; and transportation buildings, totaling more than 360 landscape acres. The scope includes broadleaf and clover applications, pre-emergent applications, rock-retention sterilization, and targeted turf and non-turf weed treatments, with optional supplemental insecticide and fungicide treatments. The contract is a firm fixed-price agreement with a one-year initial term and up to four additional annual option years. The supplier must be licensed to do business in Utah. The lead project supervisor and all field technicians applying chemicals must hold active Utah Department of Agriculture and Food Category 3 Commercial Pesticide Applicator Licenses; technician permits alone are insufficient. Proposers must submit Schedules A-E in the proposal packet, upload Schedule F separately, enter pricing only in the electronic bid lines, and comply with the 15-front-and-back-sheet technical proposal limit. Required supporting materials include business and applicator licenses, references, insurance, warranty information, safety data sheets, EPA labels, and a spill containment and emergency response plan. The solicitation evaluates qualifications, operations, safety and regulatory compliance, references, and price, and may require an oral presentation after submission.
