Description
The Paint Brush Hills Metropolitan District is soliciting bids to rehabilitate one welded-steel, on-grade, 500,000-gallon potable water storage tank. The work includes interior abrasive blasting to a near-white finish, primer and polyamide epoxy finish coating, weld inspection and repair of identified defects, coating-thickness testing, flushing, and disinfection in accordance with applicable AWWA, SSPC, ASTM, OSHA, and potable-water-contact requirements. Exterior painting is listed as an optional bid item, while the specifications state that exterior surface work is otherwise excluded. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, compressed air, safety measures, quality-control records, and incidental work. Bidders must demonstrate experience painting at least three similar potable-water tanks within the last five years and submit a qualification statement, including relevant project references. The bid form states that work is to start after January 1, 2027, and be completed by the end of April 2027; a one-year warranty and first-anniversary inspection are required.
