Description
The City of Colorado Springs is conducting a formal Request for Information to assess enterprise wireless voice and data services, mobile connectivity solutions, and public safety communications capabilities for approximately 2,400 cellular-connected devices across City departments. The City is evaluating network coverage and performance, priority and preemption for first responders, smartphones, ruggedized laptops and tablets, mobile hotspots, vehicle-mounted connectivity, IoT devices, SIM/eSIM support, signal boosters, administrative portals, billing and reporting, security integrations, customer support, implementation and migration, and resiliency options such as satellite or rapidly deployable cellular systems. Respondents are asked to describe their organization, network and public safety capabilities, coverage validation methods, device and mobility support, coverage enhancement strategies, support model, administration and analytics, security architecture, implementation approach, pricing models, technology roadmap, differentiators, and cooperative purchasing availability. Respondents should also state whether they are willing to provide a limited pilot of at least 30 days involving iPhones, a mobile hotspot, computer SIMs, signal-boosting or 5G dongles, activated service, technical support, and performance-measurement tools. This is a non-binding RFI and not a competitive solicitation for contract award; the City may use the responses to prepare a future procurement and may invite selected respondents to discussions, demonstrations, or pilot efforts.
