This sources-sought notice concerns the renovation and modernization of the Aeronautics Laboratory at the United States Air Force Academy. The work includes modernizing interior finishes; repairing interior walls, ceilings, and finishes; upgrading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; increasing researcher workstations; improving cadet study areas; renovating classrooms; and improving cadet workshop areas for modern rapid-prototyping and 3D-printing methods. The project also includes replacing exterior glazing to meet current anti-terrorism/force-protection regulations while preserving the historic exterior. The requirement is expected to be acquired under 10 U.S.C. § 2808a, the Other Transaction Authority for Military Construction Projects.
