Description
The City of Colorado Springs is soliciting a contractor to construct accessible trail segments along the south side of Hancock Expressway between Sand Creek Trail and Academy Boulevard and to reconfigure the Hancock Expressway/Boychuk Avenue intersection. Work includes curb ramps, crosswalks, sidewalks and trail pavement, curb and gutter, median cover, asphalt, storm sewer and manhole modifications, waterline relocation and installation, traffic signal foundations and equipment, conduit, wiring, signs, pavement markings, utility coordination, traffic control, erosion and stormwater quality control, surveying, and landscape restoration. Additive alternates cover additional trail work between Sand Creek Trail and Astrozon Boulevard and near the vacant parcel east of Astrozon Boulevard. The project has an estimated magnitude of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 and a performance period of 75 working days after the construction notice to proceed. It is federally and state funded and subject to Davis-Bacon wages, Build America, Buy America requirements, a 300-hour on-the-job training goal, and CDOT compliance systems and forms. The proposal package includes a cover letter, a maximum seven-page written proposal, a preliminary schedule with at least 10 key items, Schedule A Bid Tab, Exhibit 1 Solicitation Qualification Documents, Exhibit 4 Federal Forms, Exhibit 5 CDOT Forms, and Exhibit 6 Additional Qualifications Requirements.
