Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting firm, fixed pricing for a term contract covering the cleaning of sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide storage tanks, removal and disposal of residual sludge, sediments, solids, rinse water, and chemicals, and three-year physical inspections. Work includes confined-space entry, tank decontamination and rinsing, containerization and manifesting of waste, transportation to an approved disposal facility, required safety equipment and trained personnel, site restoration, and submission of disposal manifests and inspection reports. The inspection scope includes interior and exterior examination, wall-thickness measurements, approved testing methods, photographs, findings, deficiencies, recommendations, and approximate implementation costs. Reports must be signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed professional engineer. The contract is for an initial 12-month term with four additional 12-month renewal options, and services will be ordered as needed. The anticipated value for the initial term is $200,000.
