Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting construction services for Project No. 2021610, involving repairs to the Congress Avenue Bridge over the SFRTA railroad. The work includes mobilization; maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian traffic; steel sleeve removal and post-hole patch repairs; traffic-barrier top-surface and face repairs; replacement of approximately 1,835 linear feet of existing bridge fencing with Type R chain-link fencing; removal of the existing bridge fencing; damaged reinforcement repairs; and contingent traffic-control services, including variable message signs and traffic control officers. Work must comply with the project plans, Florida Department of Transportation standards, Palm Beach County construction standards, and railroad-protection requirements. The contract is a unit-price construction contract with a 135-calendar-day contract time. Bidders must submit a hard-copy bid package, including the proposal forms, required Small Business Development schedules, bid bond documentation, licensing and qualification materials, and other certifications identified in the contract documents. The bidder must perform at least 40% of the total contract with its own organization. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and the bid opening will occur at the stated deadline.
