The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate an emergency interim contract for medical waste disposal services supporting the VA Boston Healthcare System in Massachusetts, the VA Manchester Healthcare System in New Hampshire, and the VA West Haven VA Healthcare System in Connecticut. The notice states that the requirement was awarded on an emergency basis and will be six months in length while the agency develops and solicits a long-term solution. This is a special notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis, not a solicitation. Interested firms must register in the System for Award Management and the Small Business Administration's Veteran Small Business Certification database before award, and must complete VA Form 10091 for vendorization.
