Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting firm, fixed hourly rates for a term contract covering maintenance and repair of overhead and rolling doors at various County locations. The scope includes inspection, lubrication, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair of garage doors, motors, pumps, springs, openers, chains, cables, gears, locking mechanisms, receivers, remote controls, security grilles, door seals, rails, guide wheels, controllers, sensors, and related components. Replacement parts must be OEM or manufacturer-approved equivalents and are reimbursed at the bidder’s cost plus the permitted markup and shipping. New installations and complete system replacements are excluded. The solicitation has two lots: countywide service excluding the President Donald J. Trump International Airport, using licensed technicians and helpers; and service at that airport, using mechanics and helpers. Normal service must begin within four hours of request, or within two hours for emergencies, and work must be completed within 48 hours after starting. The initial contract term is 12 months, with four optional 12-month renewals. Bidders must provide references, applicable licenses, signed bid forms, required certifications, and subcontractor participation schedules when applicable.
