Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting firm-fixed pricing for a term contract covering fire hydrant inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, repair, replacement, painting, flow testing, and new installation. The contractor will service approximately 21,000 hydrants annually, with a minimum of 1,750 hydrants per month, and perform repairs, replacements, and installations on an as-needed basis in accordance with AWWA standards. The scope includes valve exercising and documentation, flow and pressure testing, hydrant painting, traffic control, minor restoration of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, roads, and sod, electronic service records, written repair estimates, and use of approved hydrant manufacturers and materials. The initial contract term is 24 months, with three additional 12-month renewal options. The anticipated contract value for the initial term is $1,600,000. Bidders must provide at least three similar references from the past two years and evidence of a Florida Department of Environmental Protection licensed technician certified under Florida Statutes Sections 633.318 and 633.334.
