Description
The Texas General Land Office is requesting proposals for inspection, repair, removal, and replacement of structural components at the South Padre Island Brazos Santiago Single Pile Instrumentation Platform, Texas Coastal Ocean Observation Network Station No. 8779749. The work includes site investigation of the monopile, anodes, cage ladder, instrumentation platform, boat landing, grating, fenders, welds, coatings, and related appurtenances; underwater inspection; repair recommendations; and removal and disposal of unsalvageable components. The contractor must also perform surface preparation, blasting, cleaning, and protective coating of the monopile and related components; replace aluminum anodes as needed and provide engineering calculations and replacement recommendations; furnish and install approved marine-grade repair materials; obtain required permits and permissions; provide construction schedules, safety and environmental documentation, photographs and drone footage, inspection and repair logs, as-built records, warranties, and a final project package. Respondents must demonstrate at least five years of relevant maritime construction experience, provide at least three similar completed projects from the last five years, submit a VetHUB subcontracting plan, and provide financial and safety information. The contract term runs through August 31, 2027, with two possible one-year extensions.
