Description
San Bernardino City Unified School District is establishing a pre-approved list of structural engineering consultants through master services agreements. Selected consultants will provide on-call services for new construction, modernization, campus improvements, facility repairs, and other district projects. Assignments may include structural surveys and investigations; analysis, calculations, drawings, specifications, repair recommendations, cost estimates, and DSA approvals; bid and submittal reviews; construction observation and administration; shop-drawing review; change orders; punch-list verification; project closeout; and related coordination and testing. Respondents must submit qualifications addressing firm experience, responsibility, insurance, personnel and resumes, relevant experience and references, prior district work, litigation, bankruptcy, local-business participation, and fee schedules. The submission is limited to 30 pages excluding specified sections and attachments, must use at least 10-point font, and must include the required completed exhibits and forms, including the acceptance of terms, respondent questionnaire, equal-opportunity certification, workers' compensation certification, local-business outreach registration, vendor application, W-9, and current insurance certificate. The district requires at least 10 percent of professional-services contracts to be set aside for local businesses.
