Description

Caldwell County is soliciting sealed formal bids for restoration of the Wilson Creek Visitor Center site following damage from Tropical Storm Helene. The work includes floodplain re-grading, restoration of 724 linear feet of overbank area along Wilson Creek, restoration of an unnamed tributary and natural channel with a bankfull bench, replacement of two damaged undersized circular culverts with one bottomless arch culvert, drainage re-establishment, gravel parking lot repair, and re-installation of damaged park infrastructure. Bids must include a certified or cashier's check or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount. Bidders must demonstrate the required North Carolina contractor licensing and submit Good Faith Efforts affidavits for recruiting minority businesses. The project is funded by the North Carolina Office of State Budget Management, and small, minority, female, disadvantaged, and historically underutilized businesses are encouraged to bid.
