Description
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities, is soliciting dairy products for Broughton Hospital and J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. Products include low-fat, skim, whole, homogenized, and chocolate milk in half-pint and gallon containers, as well as sour cream, cottage cheese, and ice cream mix. Estimated quantities are provided annually, but no minimum or maximum quantities are guaranteed. The awarded vendor must provide delivery on an as-needed basis, maintain and rotate stock upon delivery, meet applicable Grade A pasteurization, labeling, freshness, and shelf-life requirements, and provide emergency deliveries within four hours if guaranteed. Products must be delivered FOB destination, with no glass containers accepted. The contract has an initial three-year term, with possible extension, and requires manufacturer labels and product information for each offered brand.
