Description
The Town of Washington is soliciting a turnkey contractor to remove and replace 30 existing windows on the first and second floors of its Town Hall. The project includes 25 double-hung windows replaced with awning-style retrofit windows, five stairwell windows that remain double-hung, two full frosted-glass awning windows, and one additional window with frosted awning glass. New windows must have white aluminum-clad exteriors and stained-wood interiors matching the existing building. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, personnel, equipment, measuring, removal, disposal of construction debris, installation, blind stops as needed, sealing, insulation, site restoration, and detailed manufacturer and warranty information. Proposals must include qualifications and three to five similar projects completed within the past five years, a detailed work approach and materials description, total project pricing, subcontractor pricing using New York prevailing wages, warranty coverage, and a performance bond equal to the construction contract. Work must be completed by March 31, 2027, generally during weekday hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
