Description
The City of Redding Electric Utility is seeking a single supplier to furnish and deliver single-phase, 60 Hz, liquid-immersed, self-cooled, submersible distribution transformers for installation in underground vaults. The one-time purchase includes firm quantities of one 50 kVA unit, two 100 kVA units, and one 167 kVA unit. Units must provide 12,000-volt delta primary and 120/240-volt three-wire secondary service, use natural ester dielectric fluid, and comply with specified IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, ASTM, and U.S. Department of Energy requirements. The transformers must include specified high- and low-voltage terminations, under-oil expulsion-fuse protection, stainless-steel construction, submersion-rated enclosure integrity, lifting and pulling provisions, permanent labeling, factory testing, certified enclosure design test reports, and unit test reports. The response must include the completed quotation form, Transformer Information Statement, manufacturer and technical data, certified enclosure test reports, and reference checks validating the proposed lead time. Delivery is required as one complete shipment, with the bidder responsible for freight and compliance with detailed unloading and notification requirements.
