Description
The City of Martinsville is soliciting sealed bids for distribution transformers, including three-phase pad-mounted units rated at 1,000 KVA and 112.5 KVA, as well as additional single-phase pad-mounted and conventional transformers in specified quantities and ratings. Required characteristics include specified primary and secondary voltages, copper windings, full-capacity high-voltage taps, load-break bushings, removable bushings, loop-feed dead-front construction where applicable, pressure-relief/internal-fault detection devices, external KVA rating indicators, tamper-resistant enclosures, and compliance with applicable ANSI, NEMA, and IEEE standards. Bidders must provide unit and extended pricing, manufacturer and catalog information, transformer loss data, ownership-cost calculations, warranties, lead times, weights, and any comments or exceptions. Acceptable manufacturers listed include GE, Cooper, ABB, Kuhlman, Ermco, Howard, Central Maloney, and Power Partners. The bid form also requires the transformers to be marked “NON-PCB Less Than 1PPM” where specified and delivered freight prepaid and allowed.
