Description
The Grand River Dam Authority is soliciting bids for 19 new, utility-grade, three-phase, liquid-immersed, self-cooled, tamper-resistant, pad-mounted distribution transformers. The order includes one 150 kVA unit, one 300 kVA unit, three 500 kVA units, four 1,000 kVA units, and ten 2,500 kVA units. Units must have 13.8 kV delta primary connections, 480Y/277 V four-wire wye secondary connections, 95 kV BIL, radial feed, dead-front primary interfaces, and copper or aluminum windings. Requirements include applicable IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, ASTM, and NFPA standards; non-PCB insulating liquid; outdoor-service corrosion and weather resistance; five high-voltage tap positions; specified bushings, gauges, grounding provisions, accessories, nameplates, and testing. Bidders must provide firm unit and total pricing including transportation, identify exceptions, delivery lead times, anticipated shipment dates, manufacturing location and country of origin, technical drawings and literature, and separately priced spare parts or accessories. Delivery is required by September 1, 2027, to the GRDA Transmission Warehouse. The equipment carries a 36-month warranty from delivery, subject to the stated installation limitation. Evaluation will consider price, delivery, compliance, past performance, and ability to meet project needs.
