Description
The City of Rancho Cucamonga is soliciting proposals for Class A commercial driver's license training services for City employees. The selected vendor must enroll employees in and coordinate completion of the required Entry-Level Driver Training course through an FMCSA-registered training provider, provide at least one day of in-person classroom instruction, and conduct hands-on behind-the-wheel training using City-owned commercial vehicles, including dump trucks with trailers. Training sessions will accommodate groups of up to six employees and generally last six to seven business days, with completion targeted within three weeks of the scheduled start date. The vendor must coordinate California DMV behind-the-wheel examinations, accompany employees to testing, provide training materials, communicate progress and remediation plans, and ensure required ELDT records and final training outcomes are documented. Proposers must demonstrate at least 10 years of California DMV-related CDL training experience, FMCSA training-provider registration, five similar projects completed within the past five years, proposed staff qualifications, and at least four recent references. Responses require a cover letter, table of contents, project approach, qualifications and experience, project team information and resumes, proposal response, required exhibits, and line-item pricing submitted through the electronic procurement system.
