Description
The City of Greenville is soliciting sealed bids for unit-price supply and delivery of water treatment chemicals from January 1 through December 31, 2027. The requested chemicals are quicklime, liquid caustic (sodium hydroxide), liquid alum, sodium hexametaphosphate, ferric chloride, sodium hypochlorite, and carbon dioxide, with estimated quantities specified for each item. Prices must remain firm for the contract term, include freight, and support delivery within three business days of an order, with no delivery more than 10 business days after ordering unless a future date is specified. Bidders must meet the applicable AWWA and NSF 60 requirements and provide product-specific compliance information, certificates of analysis, certifications, samples where required, and material safety data sheets. The proposal package includes a City-furnished proposal form, personal-property-tax statement, and non-collusion affidavit. A bid bond for 100% of the bid, or an approved alternative security equal to 10% of the total bid, is required, except when bidding only on carbon dioxide; a 100% performance bond is required for applicable awards. Insurance of at least $1,000,000 per incident and $2,000,000 aggregate is required, with the City named as an additional insured.
