Description
The City of Trenton is soliciting bids from licensed electrical contractors to provide on-call electrical services, improvements, installations, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and technical guidance at city buildings, recreation and outdoor facilities, field-lighting systems, pools, scoreboards, and other facilities. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, permits, and code compliance. Only new systems, parts, and supplies may be used, and materials are subject to authorization and a maximum 15% markup. The contractor must respond to emergency calls 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and physically arrive at the applicable City facility within 30 minutes. Subcontracting is not permitted. Bidders must have at least five consecutive years of relevant experience, provide five references, hold an active state electrical contractor license, and submit a New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Certificate with the bid. The contract is for one year with two optional one-year extensions, contingent on adoption and approval of the 2026, 2027, and 2028 budgets. The City may award contracts to multiple contractors, with work assignments determined by cost and availability; service frequency and minimum hours are not guaranteed.
