Description
Tazewell County seeks statements of qualifications from consulting engineering firms to provide complete Phase III construction engineering services for replacement of the Furrow Road bridge over Lost Creek in the Cincinnati Road District. The project includes removal of the existing bridge; construction of a single-span welded steel plate girder bridge with a cast-in-place concrete deck; replacement of approach guardrails; and roadway approach improvements. The roadway will be closed during construction. The selected consultant must be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation in Special Services—Construction Inspection and must provide construction inspection, contractor staking verification, quality assurance oversight, materials quality assurance testing, materials certification, pay estimates, project records, quantity tracking, change-order documentation, coordination, and final project closeout. The consultant must furnish its own vehicles, computers, phones, sampling and testing equipment, tools, and other necessary equipment. The submission is limited to 10 pages, excluding specified items such as the cover page, table of contents, project identification table, and key-team-member resumes. Selection will be qualifications-based, with technical approach, firm and staff experience, workload capacity, past performance, and local presence evaluated.
