Description
Peoria County is requesting proposals for a comprehensive audit of its external communications practices, systems, channels, governance, and capacity. The scope includes review of four websites, one e-newsletter, approximately 25 active social media accounts, print and digital communications, messaging tone and consistency, brand alignment, media relations, audience and stakeholder engagement, communications policies and approvals, crisis and issues readiness, legislative or regulatory considerations, and benchmarking against comparable organizations. The County expects the selected firm to propose its own methodology. Deliverables include a written Communications Audit Report, prioritized short-, medium-, and long-term recommendations, and an implementation roadmap or framework aligned with the County's staffing structure. An optional internal communications audit may also be proposed, covering channels such as intranet, all-staff email, and internal newsletters. The County states that on-site presence is not required and that remote work through email and Microsoft Teams is preferred. Respondents must provide relevant qualifications, a work plan, three government or nonprofit references when possible, pricing, and the required solicitation forms and certifications.
