Description
Peoria County, with CORE Construction serving as construction manager, is soliciting separate trade-package bids for renovation of the Main Street Lobby and South Vestibule at the Peoria County Courthouse. Four bid packages are available: structural steel, glazing, HVAC, and electrical. The work includes selective demolition and renovation, aluminum storefront and glazed curtain-wall systems, storefront and revolving doors, glazing, structural steel and metal deck work, HVAC ductwork and transfer-air equipment, lighting and controls, electrical systems, and related finishes and repairs. Alternate A-1 covers a lighter South Vestibule renovation, while Alternate A-2 covers a heavier renovation with full curtain-wall replacement, structural steel demolition, new ceilings, transfer ductwork, exhaust ductwork, and upgraded electrical fixtures and devices. This is a public works project subject to Illinois prevailing-wage requirements. Contractors and subcontractors on contracts exceeding $30,000 must participate in an approved apprenticeship and training program and enter into Peoria County's Community Workforce Agreement for applicable construction and demolition work. Bidders must submit one original and one copy of the sealed bid package, including the applicable bid form, non-collusion affidavit, references, prevailing-wage and apprenticeship compliance certificate, signature sheet, and other required certifications and forms. A bid surety and performance/payment bond are expressly not required.
