Description
The Village of Roanoke is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes replacing influent submersible pumps and associated electrical equipment, installing new variable-frequency drives, a magnetic flow meter and metering vault, relocating and adding lagoon aerators, removing and disposing of the rock filter, constructing a new effluent flow structure and Parshall flume metering vault with equipment, modifying the existing chlorine contact tank, and completing related sitework and electrical work. The project will be financed through an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency State Revolving Fund loan and is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act. Bids must remain valid for 120 days after bid opening. A bid submittal must include a certified check, cash, bid bond, or acceptable proposal guaranty equal to 5% of the proposal amount. The awarded contract will require performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
