Description
The State of Tennessee, through its Department of Tourist Development, is seeking a contractor to fully manage an annual Official Vacation Guide as a self-supporting publication with no State funding. The contractor must develop, edit, design, photograph, produce, print, and ship approximately 500,000 copies annually; provide an ADA-compliant downloadable digital edition with rich media; and deliver the guides to the State's warehouse or designated facilities. The print guide must be approximately 180–220 pages plus a cover and map, perfect bound, and include specified paper, proofing, packaging, and quality-control requirements. The contractor must generate and manage advertising sales to cover all production and shipping costs, retain advertising revenue, remit an agreed share of gross advertising revenue to the State, and provide advertising services across the State website, Welcome Centers, and other approved travel-related media. Responsibilities also include statewide outreach across all 95 Tennessee counties, editorial and photography rights management, print-to-digital integration using QR codes and analytics, data administration, monthly financial reconciliation, quarterly advertising reports, and ongoing coordination with the State. The contract is scheduled for 60 months beginning February 1, 2027.
