Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to Quality Manufacturing Systems, Inc. for modifications to the existing tote conveyance and Automated Pharmacy Fulfillment System at the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy, Station 764. The work includes adding semi-automated packing capability; converting labeling and pharmacist-verification spurs into pharmacist-verification and manual packing stations; integrating three package takeaway conveyors; updating the tote sorter and diagnostic screens; and installing associated control-system hardware and software. The scope also includes modifying workload-balancing logic, adding infrastructure such as a pharmacy Ethernet drop and supporting utilities, and developing a Human-Machine Interface application for independent puck-conveyance control. The notice states that QMSI proprietary software cannot be modified by another entity and invites qualified firms to submit capability statements demonstrating proprietary authorization and technical capability; it is not a request for quotes or proposals.
