Description
The City of West Haven is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified individuals, entities, developers, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and joint ventures to purchase 201 Noble Street, also known as the Robert A. Johnson Community Center or Johnson Center. The approximately 40,000-square-foot municipal facility is offered in its as-is condition, with approximately 20,000 square feet occupied and 20,000 square feet vacant. The selected purchaser may be required to enter into a negotiated purchase and sale agreement or option agreement, subject to due diligence, municipal approvals, and closing conditions. Proposals must describe the proposed use, operations, clientele, hours, staffing, anticipated visitors, parking needs, proposed renovations or improvements, funding sources, purchase price and other financial terms, qualifications, relevant experience, financial capacity, and a schedule through occupancy. The purchaser must preserve the Child Development Center's presence at the property for 10 years and protect its operations during ownership and any construction. The purchaser will be responsible for inspections, approvals, permits, licenses, certifications, improvements, and compliance with applicable requirements.
