Description
The City of Quincy is soliciting sealed bids for a cash lease of approximately 558 tillable acres at Quincy Regional Airport. The lease term is March 1, 2027, through February 28, 2030, with an optional two-year extension if both parties agree. Bidders must submit a per-acre annual cash-rent price; the estimated acreage may change based on Federal Aviation Administration requirements and airport projects. The leased land must be farmed in accordance with airport, FAA, TSA, environmental, and agricultural requirements. Crops must remain beans throughout the agreement, no live animals may be kept on the acreage, and the tenant must have at least five years of farming experience and the necessary equipment. The bid must include the completed Bid Summary Page, Signature Page, a sample lease agreement, and at least two references from cash-rent landlords. The selected tenant must provide general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and a certificate of insurance naming the City and specified officials as additional insureds.
