Description
Wicomico County is soliciting electronic sealed bids for farming rights at Pemberton Park and West Metro Core Park, and for combined farming and hunting rights at WinterPlace Park. The properties include approximately 45 tillable acres at Pemberton, 100 tillable acres at West Metro Core (50 irrigated and 50 non-irrigated), and approximately 255 acres at WinterPlace, including 18 tillable acres. Farming is subject to crop, conservation, access, and property-use restrictions; livestock and poultry are prohibited. WinterPlace permits hunting waterfowl, upland game, and deer, with handguns prohibited and shotguns and bows permitted. The WinterPlace license requires the licensee to be a Wicomico County resident and permits no more than five hunting guests. The initial contract period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two possible additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Bidders must submit pricing for each property, and payment for each full year is due upon execution of the applicable lease or license. Required submissions include a Maryland Certificate of Good Standing, completed principal and affidavit forms, three recent similar-work references, responses concerning litigation and mergers or acquisitions, exceptions, confirmations, and authorized-signatory information. The successful vendor must provide required insurance and comply with the applicable lease or license terms.
