Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capable contractors for offsite sterile processing support at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. The requirement includes collecting soiled reusable medical equipment and surgical trays, transporting them to an offsite processing facility, performing inspection, cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, and returning the processed trays and documentation to the medical center. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, transfer carts and containers, transportation, software scanning capability, setup, maintenance, documentation, and customer support. The anticipated workload is based on approximately 400 trays per month, with surgical turnaround within 48 hours, daily delivery of processed equipment and sterilization records, Return Quality Audits, incident reporting, and 24-hour customer support. Performance must comply with applicable AAMI standards, VHA Directive 1116, manufacturer instructions, infection-control requirements, and transport temperature and humidity requirements.
