Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive general and recycled waste management services at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center and Lee County Healthcare Center. The scope includes scheduled and on-call collection, hauling, recycling, processing, disposal, contractor-furnished compactors, bins, containers, vehicles, equipment, emergency support, and related maintenance. The contractor must handle non-hazardous and treated non-infectious waste, recyclable materials, construction and demolition debris, cardboard, metal, brush, and other specified waste streams; provide weight tickets, disposal documentation, recycling sales receipts, and monthly waste and recycling reports; and maintain required licenses, permits, insurance, safety procedures, and quality-control processes. The procurement is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside with a base year and four one-year option periods. Quotations will be evaluated on technical capability, past performance, and total price for the base and option periods.
