Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking one multispecies hematology analyzer for the Clinical Pathology Laboratory at UW Veterinary Care. The analyzer must support automated complete blood counts and body-fluid cell counts for human and veterinary specimens, automated differentials, flagging, preprogrammed and user-defined animal species, replay of results for alternate species, veterinary precision and accuracy, bidirectional laboratory information system interfacing, body-fluid testing, throughput exceeding 50 blood samples per hour, and veterinary software technical support. The awarded contractor must provide FOB-destination delivery and installation, setup, operating and maintenance manuals, on-site training for hematology personnel, a minimum one-year warranty covering parts, labor, and travel, and required service support. Bidders must identify the offered manufacturer and model, provide a technical proposal and completed specification checklist, describe warranty and service coverage, provide NRTL certification information, price related consumables and supplies, and optionally provide pricing for a preferred three-year maintenance agreement. The solicitation also includes a trade-in of an existing Siemens Healthcare Advia 2120i analyzer after validation and acceptance of the new system.
