Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for contractors capable of providing sharpening and repair services for individual surgical instruments and operating-room procedural instrument trays. Required capabilities include sharpening, adjusting, aligning, straightening, refurbishing, calibrating, cleaning, stain removal, polishing, lubricating, laser etching, and replacing parts, with instruments maintained in operating condition according to the original manufacturer’s specifications. The contractor would retrieve instruments from and deliver them to the Sterile Processing Service at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. Interested and responsible sources must submit a capability statement; this notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not a request for proposals.
