Description
The University of Wisconsin–Madison is soliciting bids for renovation of the fourth-floor Biology Rise Lab in Birge Hall. The project includes demolition, asbestos abatement, electrical conduit routing, structured cabling, and installation of a complete wire-basket cable tray system with supports, fittings, grounding, and related accessories. The work also includes coordination among the general prime, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and asbestos-abatement trades. Asbestos-related work includes removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials such as duct insulation, piping insulation and fittings, floor tile and mastic, fume-hood lining, casework, chalkboards, and acoustical surfacing materials. Bidders must acknowledge Addendum No. 1 on the Bid Form; the addendum adds cable-tray and structured-cabling specifications and revises demolition, electrical-routing, and asbestos-abatement documents.
