Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Correctional Construction Mentorship Program is soliciting as-needed safety training services at listed correctional institutions. The scope includes equipment operator certification for boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, backhoes/loaders, and excavators; first aid, CPR, and AED; fall protection; excavation; Cal/OSHA construction courses; accident investigation; electrical safety; lockout/tagout; bloodborne pathogens; confined-space training; health in construction; HAZWOPER; scaffolding; asbestos; lead; and related instructor-trainer and recertification courses. The contractor must provide qualified trainers, training and instructional materials, applicable OSHA and Cal/OSHA guidance, certifications, and all other costs included in the submitted rate sheet. The contractor must also provide related professional services, such as safety audits, safety-program reviews, assistance with Cal/OSHA violations, and confined-space assistance. Services are ordered as needed, with estimated quantities used for bid comparison rather than guaranteed work. The agreement is estimated at $2,400,000 and is scheduled to run from January 1, 2027, or approval if later, through December 31, 2029.
