Description
Dutchess County Department of Public Works is soliciting a contractor to operate a commercial driver license training program for up to 10 Public Works employees per year. The scope includes online Entry Level Driver Training coursework, submission of theory and practical training results to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Training Provider Registry, Class B CDL coursework, at least 35 hours of on-road training, pre-trip inspection training, and assistance scheduling and completing road and skills tests. The contractor must provide late-model automatic-transmission trucks, have the ability to provide manual-transmission training, supply a commercial motor vehicle for each road test, maintain active status on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, and use trainers with valid New York commercial licenses and at least five years of professional commercial driver safety training experience. Training must occur during Public Works operating hours, and each participant's training must be completed within four months. Proposals must include technical qualifications, trainer resumes, registry verification, three qualifying customer references, a separate flat-rate cost proposal, and the required County forms.
