Description
The Village of Oak Park is requesting bids from experienced vendors for transmission repair services for approximately 220 fleet units, including sedans, vans, pickup trucks, police cruisers, ambulances, fire apparatus, Class 8 trucks, and heavy equipment. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, debris hauling, and required permits. Repairs must use new parts conforming to original equipment manufacturer specifications unless otherwise approved, and rebuilt assemblies require prior approval and equivalent warranties. The vendor must have at least five years of transmission-repair experience, provide written estimates before work begins, complete repairs no later than four working days after receiving a vehicle, and support vehicle pickup and return. The bid requires pricing for labor, parts discounts, response times, pickup and delivery, and related services, along with at least three municipal or large commercial references for similar work completed within the last two years. The initial contract runs from award through December 31, 2027, with up to two additional one-year renewals.
