Description
Tarrant County is soliciting bids for automotive transmission repair and service for its county fleet, supporting the Precincts and Transportation Services. The awarded vendor must provide hourly labor pricing, include travel, fuel, shop fees, delivery, and other costs in the unit price, maintain a repair facility within Tarrant County, and use technicians certified by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association or an equivalent professional organization. Services include repairing or replacing lost or damaged vehicles while they are at the vendor’s facility, with no additional charge for that work. Major repairs must carry a warranty of at least 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, and small repairs must carry a warranty of at least 12 months. The contract has a 12-month initial term and may be renewed for two additional 12-month periods. The bid requires responses to pricing and service questions, three references for similar work, warranty details, a W-9, applicable diversity certifications, insurance acknowledgments, and other required electronic bid attributes. The solicitation also permits cooperative purchasing by participating governmental entities if the bidder agrees to extend the contract’s terms, conditions, specifications, and pricing to those entities.
