Description
The Forest Service seeks removal and disposal of an existing broken 32-foot double-lane closure gate and installation of a replacement gate, posts, and supports. The work includes site preparation, excavation, bedding, concrete footings, backfill, grading, and revegetation, with the gate installed to the provided drawings and specifications. The contractor must furnish the labor, materials, equipment, and transportation needed for the work; the Government will furnish gate locks and seed. The quote must include a technical approach narrative and construction schedule, plus pricing entered on the provided Schedule of Items spreadsheet. The technical approach must explain key tasks, milestones, and the offeror’s understanding of the project. Quotes are limited to three pages, excluding the Schedule of Items, and must use 12-point Times New Roman. A payment protection equal to 100% of the contract price is required within 10 days after award; acceptable options include a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit.
