Description
The City is seeking a general contractor to build an approximately 8-acre neighborhood park. Work includes site demolition, grading and drainage, utility connections, a restroom building, a half-court basketball court, accessible concrete and soft-surface paths, playground coordination, shade structures, site furnishings, public-art footings, signage, and landscape boulders. The contractor must furnish and install landscaping, an automatic irrigation system, and related site improvements; coordinate with separate City-procured playground equipment, shade sails, shade structures, and furnishings; and protect existing utilities and the habitat buffer zone. The contractor must also provide landscape and irrigation establishment, management, and maintenance for two years. Native-seed installation is a key requirement: the landscape contractor must have at least five years of successful native-seed installation experience, qualified full-time on-site supervision, and the specified NALP certifications. The bid requires a completed bid form and schedule, a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid, bidder qualifications, subcontractor schedule, safety form, references, and a milestone schedule. The bid schedule must be submitted in both Excel and PDF formats.
