Description
Replace nine existing overhead doors at the Transfort Maintenance Facility. The work includes full replacement of door components, including tracks, springs, motors, sensors, operators, and panels, as well as required electrical connections by a licensed electrical contractor. The project documents specify sectional doors, electrical work, and a base-bid door model with an alternate model/finish. The contractor must coordinate work and door closures with the owner to limit disruption to facility operations, keep openings secure and weather-tight at the end of each workday, and provide a written safety plan before work begins. The bid package also requires a bid security of at least 5% of the bid; performance and payment bonds are required of the successful bidder.
