Description
Colorado State University seeks a turnkey contractor to replace a failed irrigation well at its ARDEC facility. Work includes drilling, casing, developing, and test-pumping a new well; installing a pump, controls, discharge piping, and electrical connections; connecting the well to the existing irrigation system; and properly abandoning the failed well. The scope also includes demolition and disposal of the existing pump, motor, piping, and shed, fence replacement, erosion-control measures, and required operation and maintenance documentation. The quote must include pricing for the base scope and all required unit prices, bid options, and alternates. A separate price is requested for using existing Well #68 as the water source for drilling instead of the fire hydrant. Well and pump work must be performed by a well driller licensed in Colorado. A bid bond of at least 5% is required when the construction value is $50,000 or more; payment and performance bonds of at least 50% of the contract value are required when the construction value is $150,000 or more.
